Clouded Harmonies

By Nick_w
First of all a big than
you for the awards on the last photo.

A similar composition to a previous upload, but a "regular" exposure, rather than a long exposure.

When I started to process this image, I wanted to try and convey how it feels when depression takes hold, and how it impacts on the creative flow, and the minds "good" harmonies.

As with a lot of my work, I wanted quite a surreal feel, which I thought fits with the message I'm trying to convey.

I loved the previous upload and this is great, but there is something very strange looking about the way that the suspension cables seem to be enveloped by the clouds.

Hi Alan,

The clouds enveloping the cables was very much intended, if you see the description, I explain why. I do have a "straight" version, however I think that will remain on my hard drive, as this was how I envisaged the image, when I first saw it on the cameras review screen.

Marvellous in b&w, Nick. I too found this the best solution when I visited Newcastle/Gateshead earlier this year. (See my pf for my take on the Millenium bridge)
