Well done! This is a very nice shot from an older bridge camera, and especially under such challenging light.

Theres not a lot I would suggest. You had the camera using the Landscape setting, which makes blue and green more vibrant, so in the mod Ive adjusted that so it has less of an effect; a little sharpening, cropped a bit off the left to place the Owl on a third, and rotated a tiny bit.

Thats it, good job.

Many thanks Willie.

It is a good personal record, but we have to look at what is presented rather than degree of difficulty I think. Ideally, it needs to be quite a bit sharper on the bird with less exposure. it depends on the purpose of the image, and as a holiday record of something unusual, you have it.

As a technical image of the bird, there are issues and the focal length is very long for such a slow shutter speed. thus you have camera shake. Try and find something to rest the camera on in such cases, a gate post, wall top, something to give support.

With old architecture, it's hard to be certain, but the tilt to the pillar and the stnace of the bird both suggest that a little clockwise rotation will look more natural.

I also used the Levels control to deepen the darker tones.

An appealing image, and really decently done given the technical conditions others have noted!
