Elvaston Castle Pano

By Nigeyboy
Taken this morning at Elvaston Castle, near Derby. Went out at 6.30am, and revisited this view of the castle, as wanted to do a panorama. Tweaked the curves slightly in the sky and foreground. Second attempt at a pano, and personally I am quite pleased. Must get myself some ND grads though . . . . !!

Feedback welcome, so please comment!!

I like this kind of shot..shame there's no large version - one of the privileges of E2 membership!

I think ND grads would have helped the burnt out highlights to the right and it's a shame most of the garden appears to be in shade. When you get up so early, you want to go home with something, though! Good effort IMHO and don't give up. Smile

Thanks Eumaus!! You are right - should maybe have left it another 30-45 mins or so to let the sun hit the garden. I shall go back in the next few weeks and try again!

I'm surprised this pano hasn't received more interest?? Personally I love panoramic shots and although I agree with the comment above about the highlights to the right side, sometimes the best view includes quite a bit of sun in it, so it's hard to get the balance right. I'm guilty of that myself!

All in all I think it's a damn good effort!
