Bellapais Abbey is the ruin of a monastery found about 5KM from the town of Kyrenia. It looks just as impressive at night as it does in the day but there's something about the way it's lit that I really like.

It was a real test for the smartphone capturing images at night but I don't think it's done a bad job at all. Just a quick angle adjustment to straighten the structure and the tone was fixed as the white balance was a bit off in-camera.

It's important that we look in all directions when taking photos and by looking up, I spotted this bell tower reaching out of the tree. I love the simplicity of this with just the sky, tree and bell featuring in the frame.

Pretty Building

They have revamped a lot of old town in Paphos but this building still has some of its original charm about it. The red frames and shutters pop against the whitewash and there's also some interesting detail when you get up close.
