Camden Lock

This place is usually full of people so to capture it without a single tourist in sight was a bit of a miracle. I like the different levels in this so your eye has plenty to follow from the gates at the front to the building at the back via the bridge and trees. The shapes and symmetry are interesting, too.

Just a quick crop on this to straighten the shot but nothing else was done apart from me clicking the shutter button.

The smartphone came in particularly handy for photos later on when the High Street got busier as I could easily take it out of my pocket and put it away when not needed even in crowded locations.

When the bell tolls...

It's important that we look in all directions when taking photos and by looking up, I spotted this bell tower reaching out of the tree. I love the simplicity of this with just the sky, tree and bell featuring in the frame.

Pretty Building

They have revamped a lot of old town in Paphos but this building still has some of its original charm about it. The red frames and shutters pop against the whitewash and there's also some interesting detail when you get up close.
