Coastal Knapweed.

By Niknut
On a recent trip to Pembroke I managed to get a few shots of this lovely Knapweed, which is growing on the
cliff-tops near Castlemartin..........I wanted to include the cliffs in the b/g to establish the plants location, so
with my Nikon P6000 set to 28mm & Macro, & focusing on the nearest flower-heads I came up with this shot,
which I'm quite pleased with..............there was a small gale blowing at the time, so I'm surprised to get a
decently sharp image from about 6 shots at it ??.....& trying to stop being blown over the cliff edge too !!..Grin

Many thanks for all the C&C's for 'Evening at Morston Quay'....your opinions are well appreciated !!!!.Smile

Very well composed coastal capture, and with the selective focussing from wide aperture concentrating the eye on the blooms but with enough b/g "soft detail"'to locate the image.

Good choices made for this image!
It's one thing when the wind blows, sometimes you have to watch when it stops....Ooooopps.

Lovely colour here Keith a bit like the Scottish Thistle.

Glorious burst of colour.
Didn't know these flowers by name Knapweed
because as Scottishlandscapes says they are like the thistle.
Good format to show it's location.
Superb.
