Taking a chance

I have for some time toyed with the idea of going full frame, but the expense has been somewhat off putting, being retired, and on a limited income has made me hesitate. Recently I was browsing at LCE on the Strand and saw a Canon 5D which was looking quite well used cosmetically, (some scuffing ...

I came across Grandpa Elliot on a recent trip to New Orleans. He was born in New Orleans in 1944. At an early age he was encouraged by an uncle to play the mouth harp (Harmonica). playing on the streets of New Orleans for small change, he eventually migrated to New York as a young man and bec...

Took a walk around Trafalgar square today to find that an organised pillow fight was to take place. The first image shows the fight underway, and the second image the resultant mess of kapok and feathers which drifted out of the square and into the surrounding streets. Rescued Images

These are a few of the images that have suffered considerable damage to the emulsion on the glass negatives, even so worth preserving if only for the historical value.

A lot of the remaining images are in a sorry state and will require work to try and get some form of image from th...

Rescued Images

Another couple of the rescued images from the Glass negatives rescued from a refuse site. There is some considerable damage to areas of the emulsion but I have tried to clean them up as best I can. None the less worth preserving I believe.

Rescued historic photographs

A while ago I found a cedar wood box on a local rubbish tip which contained a number of glass negatives relating to bye gone times, many of which were in a sad state of decomposition. Recently I have been attempting to scan the images in order to preserve a little bit of photographic history. I have...
