Hi Nobby

I think the key here are your last few words "result i wanted". I have always said you have to do photography for yourself, if others like it it's a bonus. This is the only way you will produce anything worthwhile.

Its a nice image.

When filling with black, try to be aware that under the feet, if also black, removes the ground, and the sense that the animals are "grounded". The impression can be that they are floating, so keep this in mind, try to leave some suggestion of what they are standing on.
