Circle Of Stone

By NoelBennettPhotography
One of many visits to Castle Rigg Stone Circle, just outside Keswick, Cumbria,
but this time taken from a height of 14' above the stones.

I wanted to get separation between the near and the far stones of the circle.
It was January so need for a very early start - time taken 10:15am which is late for me.
January also meant there was a distinct lack of other photographers, which is always a bonus,
especially when you want to take out your secret bit of kit!

Both beautiful and haunting.

A very well worked image which appeals greatly.

Thanks for sharing Neil.

Isn't taking out your 'secret bit of kit' in public frowned upon? WinkGrinGrin

Such wonderful atmosphere and the jackdaws coupled with the rays of light add a touch of menace to the scene.
Fabulous shot but maybe too much information about taking out your secret bit of kit in a public place Wink

Very atmospheric, especially with the birds - you can imagine the druids arriving any minute.
