Light always looks nice through a beermug :0)

Sorry to be flippant, couldn't resist...

I think the problem with this is that it's just too dark. You could easily lighten it by about 30%, with a smaller boost in contrast, maybe being selective so as not to blow out any of the highlights. There's a ctually a nice subtle bit of colour in there which I think is worth exploiting. FInally composition wise, the little blur in the bottom right corner is a bit distracting

Just my thoughts, hope they're some use

A very pleasing and thought-provoking image, the king of picture that intrigues the viewer to learn more about the circumstances of the meeting/drinking session/drinkers etc.
This is very accomplished photography.

Simple but effective. Does seem a bit flat though. Maybe more contrast + saturation?

I like the subtlety and the interplay of the light as it passes through the glass. The highlight and shadow of the light on the tabletop give a sense of the window opposite. The composition leads the eye into the shot, from the darkness at the bottom, up to the light of the reflection and highlights in the glass itself. Now, I'm curious! what lies beyond? what environment does this exist in? is it in a bar? or on a table at home?

The little bit of blur in the foreground makes me feel that there is someone there, this glass isn't sat there alone!

I love the way you've captured the fluidness of the glass, against the slight texture of the foreground it works really well. Also the light reflecting on to the surface works well, I would of cropped off the bottom a little bit, as it tends to draw away from the main subject, I like this alot.
