Sony HX300 or Sony NEX-F3?
Depends on what sort of things you will be photographing. On balance I personally would go for the NEX F3. The quality of image will be better. The HX300 is very versatil...

You have to be carful at certain airports. If you take picture close to take off or landing you may end up in trouble. Several years ago staff took exception to the person sitting in front of me who took pictures as we landed at Muscat International Airport. It is also a military base.
