Woodpecker

By OAKEY
Three images of Woodpeckers that come in the garden, V1 i'v struggled with the light, V2 is my favourite but unfortunatley i cropped his tail off in camera. Sunday in all that rain we had the parents and 2 juviniles with them but the rain was so heavy i did'nt get the camera out. Hope you like them. Sorry not been about much last week been busy with work.
Hope you have a nice weekend all the best
Shaun.

I prefer your version 1. All that bark in version 3 detracts from the colour/texture of the bird. Version two crop seems all wrong to me. Lucky to get three shots of such a timid bird.

Three shots which far exceed anything I would be capable of, but for me V 2 and 3 are truly excellent, Shaun. V 1 seems just a little softer although beautifully lit, whilst the other two are captured with such fine detail. A lovely set.
Regards, Ronnie.

I actually think the crop is to tight in V1. Is there any reason you cropped it so tight or do you just like it this way?
