Sunset is really nicely handled. Somehow I think that it would be improved if the horse had taken a few more steps lower down the frame.
Just my thought, but a beautiful picture all the same

I love this image, I am guessing this is not a Shire, but the other breed that are very similar but slightly smaller, I just can't think of the name.

I like where the horse is positioned, it gives perspective and dimension to the flatness of the land.

Thanks everyone for all the kind comments - much appreciated.

This field was puddle free a couple of hours before I shot this. A short thunderstorm quickly filled it, not to mention flooding Cottingham High School.
The horse was plodding toward me and stopped for a moment as I took the shot.
Thinking a closer horse would be nice I remained in place, however,
a wide angle lens can place one deceptively close, and his large hooves began throwing up large amounts of water as I backed away, trousers dripping.
