Hi David - nice to see you're still uploading, and hope you are well. I rarely use epz at all, now.

One of those shots where symmetry and a central divide works perfectly.

Nice, as ever Sue. Last time I was up there there was a ruddy great van outside the cottage!

Was on the phone to my friends in the cape last night and they told us that it was 42º out there yesterday!

    Nice capture, Herman!

You commented on my elephant bathing and my flamingo. Appropriate from a South African, as the first was taken in Addo Elephant Park and the second at Birds of Eden near Plettenberg Bay

  • Fetching The Water

Cryptosporidium is no joke! It's not only in poorer countries that there are problems like this. In St Petersburg it's very inadvisable to drink the local tap water.

    Thanks, all.

Paul - I can recommend it. We went last March on a Hurtigruten ferry which goes from Bergen all the way up to Kirkenes, about 800 miles north of the Arctic Circle, and back again. We enjoyed it so much we're doing it again in February. The aurora isn't as bright as it appears here - this was a 30 sec exposure at f4.

This is enormously difficult exposure-wise. I had a few from this angle, but they were all pretty well silhouetted.
