That's quite spectacular, Mike. Thanks to you I now have a new word in my vocabulary: having imagined chardoon as an artichoke from its appearence but managing to equate the name with the French chardon (thistle) an online check tells me it is also known as artichoke thistle. I can be a real clever-clogs at times like this.......

Your presentation is excellent: great colour, head-on so that we can see the formation clearly, and the ideal background. And good to see that the ixus is still finding work to do!

Tony, you will have seen the "Digitally manipulated" tag - I painstakingly (literally pixel by pixel) blacked out the background on the dreaded computer...
