Defiant hellebore

By oldgreyheron
Many plants in our garden have suffered quite badly from the long period of snow cover and sub zero temperatures this winter. Our hellebores were looking especially flattened.

Nevertheless the sunshine last week has persuaded a number of flowers to rise above the chaos of the leaves and bring some welcome colour.

It was good to see bees around them on Saturday when I took this image.

Have a good week,
Mike

A beauty, Mike, such wonderful flowers, a shame they point their faces to the ground. Carol
