Early bee

By oldgreyheron
I was really surprised to find several bees at work in the garden yesterday in the glorious Spring sun. This one was enjoying one of the hellebore's currently flowering quite profusely. I'm definitely enjoying the IXUS's macro capability!

Have a great weekend all!

Mike

I would like the picture without the bee, Mike, but with the bee, it's extra special. I like the way you have filled the frame with the hellebore's petals, and your detail on the stamens and bee.

Fabulous shot Mike - it makes me wonder why I continue to lug around a large bag full of DSLR bodies and lenses etc when a tiny compact can produce such fantastic shots (in the right hands of course !!)
