Japanese anemone

By oldgreyheron
I had a wander around the autumn garden this afternoon looking primarily for berry photographs - they were not as good as I hoped, but there are still blooms going strong. This delicate Japanese Anemone really apeals to me with its beautiful yellow stamens and green central cone.

Please view large if you have the time, and do let me know what you think of the image - many thanks, Mike.

Another superb close-up, Mike. Neither I nor my garden could compete with it!

I think it's been too damp for berries here. I went out this afternoon and did some very satisfying hacking back. I'm quite ruthless when I want to be...
This on the other hand is fragile and demands respect.

Hi Mike
Lovely image.
To you question: "How do you continue to find such good subjects and then produce such natural images George?"
Thanks for asking.
Mike, I go to people, my most loved God's creatures and ask their permission to take pictures of them. When they agree, I ask them to smile.
As nothing can be more beautiful than women's smiles, the images are so natural and nice.
The results of our cooperation, the photos without destroying them in photo-software are sent to you all.
Just that simple!

Oh wow, that's gorgeous!
I think, you just did, what George recommended. You asked this anemone to smile for you!
