Monday in the garden

By oldgreyheron
I spent quite a lot of time in the garden today (and yesterday) starting in earnest the real gardening work of Spring (what glorious days we have had!)

I took a break to have a wander around with the IXUS to catch some of the flowers in bloom - I may focus on trees tomorrow!

Thank you for the especially encouraging comments on yesterday's Ripon Cathedral Tower image - they were unexpected but very pleasant to read!

A beautiful set, all the vigour and life of the real garden. Slight preference for V1, for its energy, and V5 for the delicate tones. Why is my magnolia so far behind everyone else's? It's only just sprouted buds!

Great series of shots - each one good enough to stand alone.

A fine display, Mike, you must have a garden to be proud of.
I try to use photographing flowers as an excuse for not doing the gardening but I'm usually rumbled within seconds....
