Tulip

By oldgreyheron
My watering image had some red tulips in the foreground - they opened wide in the sun. Here is one of them!

1/400s f6.3 ISO 400

Please do view large if you have the time - everyone's comments are always very welcome! Many thanks, Mike

Having just dipped my toe into this area, I'm realising how difficult it is to make a picture rather than a simple botanical specimen. This really captures the strengh of the living plant, and the background is jst right, enough variety of texture to look organic without distracing attention. Gorgeous shot.

Excellent clarity and detail in the texture of the petals, lighting has produced superb tonal quality.

Very delicate lighting, the colours come through very well. The limited dof gives a very softening effect which I like a lot here, softness seems to go well with the definitely pastel impact of the petals. Very nice.
