This sequence of images from the 2012 Paralympics Opening Ceremony in London takes us from the moment that the exceptional Stephen Hawking introduced a sequence of events where a celestial sphere impacts something to create an impression of the big bang.
Please follow the sequence of images- not all are brilliant photographically, but they were taken in real time and do, I think, tell a great story of part of this enthralling event.
Photographically I was juggling with lenses - real pressure - I need two camera bodies if I ever do anything like this again. I had the IXUS too, and did use it but not for this sequence.
I'm still excited and processing these images and sharing them keeps the emotions flowing!
