Love the symmetry and juxtaposition with the seemingly tiny power station in the background - man vs nature, nature wins Smile

There's something timeless about the rock - like time for it has frozen while still speeding for the world around it Smile

Traveller.. by kousik

Great portrait. Excellent sharpness, love the composition and crop, skin processing, balance of light and shadow...
If I was to suggest anything it would be nit picking Smile Maybe darken his left shoulder, the button and the other slightly bright spot below his beard, and maybe lighten (but only a touch) the whites of his eyes?

I'll try to be constructive Smile The crop is better - I think a square or as it is (almost square crop) gives an intensity to the image adding to the mood. The person works for me as there is a juxtaposition between the 2 - black v white, expressions (as you mention), plus he is part of the setting and adds to the atmosphere and the story.
If I had to be picky - there're 2 spotlights in the way - one at the top of the frame and one to the left of your head. And yes, I suppose the verticals can do with being straightened.
Otherwise love the moodiness of the processing. A great image!

Love the heather and the tiny figure at the top Smile This would look good on canvas.

Great lighting and pose.

The colours and the water really make the image. I'd be tempted to crop some more off the brickwork and bring the attention down towards the water.

A great portfolio, Ann. Truly inspirational. Love the way you can feel what an image is all about. I think that is what makes one photo better than another.
