A misty morn

Early morning in France again. My wife wandered off and I took this without her knowing. I like the effects that can be achieved with back lighting.

Beautifully captured Derek. The way you've handled the exposure and lighting definitely hets my vote. IMO the tree on the left darkens the image a tad and the shot could be improved by cropping a little from left and bottom to retain the format. I'll email you what I'm thinking.

Beautiful backlighting. I particularly like the rising mist in the b/g. It adds a lot of atmosphere to the image

Thank you all for your kind comments. I take David's point about the tree and I now agree with him. This is just the sort of constructive suggestion that I hope to get from this site.

It is amazing how different people view things, initially I felt that the dark tree added an emphasis that directed the eye to the right in the direction my wife was looking.
