Nature - red in tooth and claw

While out for the orchids the other day, I came across this gruesome scene of one spider devouring the other. Fortunately I was setup for macro.
Lit with fill flash through a softbox to provide softer shadows and help balance with the ambient.

ooo nicely done! Don't think i've seen one of those spiders before so I'm curious as to what species it is (oncea geek always a geek i suppose!) - so I had a riffle through the Natural History ID guide and i think it's a Walnut (or black) Orb Spider - so thanks for educating me too :O)
