Honey Ant

By Overread
f16, ISO 200, 1/200sec flash used (off camera but cord)

Well I decided to try the honey trick with ants and it worked out ranther well at attracting them - the downside was me getting used to shooting with my lens and such a great magnification and without any support lighting besides nautral sunlight.
Overall It came out well - though in this shots its clear to see his antenna got into the way of part of the shot - but the rest is fine and at larger sizes one can see the segments in his eye.

Overall I am pleased with the restult, though I am now determined to get a light attached to my setup (LED on a flexi arm) so I can have some support in finding outwhere the image goes sharp - with such a tiny plain of focus and depth of field its very easy to come away with a lot of missed shots.

any comments/crits welcome - thank you
