Today a fellow photographer from Central Europe uploaded a picture featuring dark shadows and strong flare. I gather he was happily surprised by the quality of light he discovered in South Europe.
Light I suppose falls on a very particular angle here, such that makes its quality different to the one he has been used to. Light is intangible gold. Discovering it is more fun than holding pure gold in your hands.
