I've spent two days editing this Karen, believe it or not the horizon hasn't been touched much apart from the ones on the right.
-First i gave it a bit of unsharp mask.
-Got rid of all the birds because they were really messy and they looked like dirt on my lens.
-Then i rotated the horizon a little.
-selected the sky and gave it some contrast in curves.
-Then i selected the ground and gave it some brightness in curves.
-darkened the mountains.
-I cleaned up the horizon.
-Selected the lake and gave it some contrast.
And that was about it. All accomplished in gimp 2.6.
