I can imagine you had a few 'takes' of this one, Richard. The diagonals work so well. Power, grace and movement. Excellent. And I bet you had some fun doing it.

The whole concept truly amazes me....how she could jump like that, and how many shots it must have taken to get this perfect shot.

An image which I find it difficult to get my head around Richard. Although technically it is a brilliant piece of photography in its own right, and a much deserved winner of so many awards. Nevertheless, please excuse me for being a little over suspicious and furthermore one whom may cause an uproar amongst the ranks of fellow ePz members, but I do feel that the image does not quite ring true? "Please correct me if I am wrong" "Was the young lady vaulting or leaping over the chair?" Or "Was she leaping from off the chair?" Or as I suspect "Was she simply performing a leap with a tuck from the standing position?" The reasoning for my questioning is simply because of the positioning of her in relation to the movement and forces cause by several factors including, distance, height and speed.

If I have been a little over inquisitive or blooming stupid please forgive me and put my mind at rest.

Hi Nathan the answer to your question is no she was not leaping over or off the chair I would not ask anyone to take that risk.
It my artistic license with the title which I thought suited the image.
Hope your head is ok nowWink

Richard -- another amazing shot with your perfect timing.

AND -- what an athlete you have for a model. I understand (as you told Nathan) that she is not jumping over the chair but just getting off the ground like that while maintaining her poise and form is fantastic.
