I find the smell totally nauseating, personally!

Nice close-up, I like the simple composition.

I wonder whether this would benefit from being a tiny bit brighter, perhaps?

Hi Katie, the smell is quite bad for a 'flower'. Thanks for your suggestion; I tried brightening the image when processing from raw but lost the fine texture of the petals and some from the outer sheath so decided to stay with the low light conditions in which the image was taken. Smile

Les. Well Taken. I having no sense of smell can enjoy being in a wood full of them, but get told off about the smell on me when I get home.
