Many thanks for all the votes and comments on the Spanish Chalkhill Blue, and especially to ValSaxby for the GEA and myrab for the UA, all are very much appreciated.
I've spent the last two days with Ben and Pilu in Burgos, 220km north of Madrid. The aim was mainly to try and find the five species of Anomalous Blues that occur in the region aswell as any other lifers. This beautiful Damon Blue was one of three species of Anomalous Blues that we found and we also found five other lifers So all in all a great end to the trip which finishes tomorrow when Ben and i return to England

(in search of Brown Hairstreaks!)
