Eve at Eden

By pamelajean
Continuing my abstract series.

A close shot of the mystical nude statue of Eve at the Eden Project in Cornwall.
The mosaic work is made from mirrors which reflect the surrounding garden.

This living sculpture grows out of the landscape of the Myth and Folklore exhibit in the Outdoor Gardens.
Eve is made mostly of clay from Eden itself. Inside she has a galvanised steel armature, and her hair was planted with Stipa tenuissima. She was created by brother and sister team Peter and Sue Hill, who have made many stunning living sculptures out of earth and plants, including the sleeping mermaid and a giantís head at the Lost Gardens of Heligan.

Many thanks for the splendid comments and votes for my Leaf Mural.

Pamela.

I had to look this up, it wasn't there when we visited the project years ago! Now I see what you have used for your image, quite amazing.

Another reason to add the Eden Project to my must-visit list. Quite magical your interpretation of this feature.

Beautifully captured and something I missed at Eden.
Been to Heligan recently on a wet day - saw the Mud Maid and The Giant.
Great to see what you've captured at both places.
