Honeycomb

Thank you for looking, for your interest, your comments and votes on my red mosaic obelisk.

Some of you may know immediately what these two abstracts are taken from.
They are biomes at the Eden Project.
I like the first one for the rainbow effect on the dome, and the second for the patterns of the hexagonal cells.

The biomes are the biggest conservatories in the world. You could fit the Tower of London in the rainforest biome. Building these ‘lean-to greenhouses’ on an uneven surface that changed shape was tricky – ‘bubbles’ were used because they can settle on any shaped surface. The architect got the idea while washing up!

Pamela.

Making the most of the opportunity presented, and making good job of it! The idea when washing up leading to the design, they must have preserved the bubble's colours in the glass as well!!

Never been there, so couldn't guess the location! They make a super abstract, Pamela, and two excellent captures here, the lead being my fave 😃👍

Lovely reflections in those biomes Pamela.
Think I read that they were self-cleaning!

Visiting the Eden project is on my bucket list .The rainbow effect is interesting , rather like the luminescence that’s you find on mother of pearl,
Cheers Walt
