A standard piece of equipment in days of yore! If you did not have room for a full sized one, you could buy a smaller version, that would clamp onto a table's edge or your wash-tub. As a youngster, many a time I was on turning the handle duties. No electric washing machines then! Very clear details of its working parts.

I got married in 1972 and we had one for a while too 
No, the title didn't ring any bells for me! A fine-looking old mangle, Pamela, I can remember my mother using one, but not as ornate as this. The washing was done in a tub, with the assistance of a rubbing board and posser to agitate the washing - I got that job! It was wonderful when we got an electric tub! Love the lead, but good to see the whole 😃👍
