I've always wanted to do the walk from top to bottom but don't have a head for heights, and I understand it can be quite scary in places. Your lovely image at least gives me a feel for the place.

I've never been to Madeira so great to see the terrain.

I have been there in the middle of summer when we went up to the restaurant which overlooks this aspect. It is certainly a most wonderful view and in your case the mist helps. The only wonder I have is how did the planners allow blue roofs on top of which I presume are commercial premises. David
