Dragonfly

By pamelajean
Well, it's probably the best I'll ever do with dragonflies, and at least it didn't move.
I don't suppose it fooled any of youWink.

Staying with statues and sculptures, but moving on to smaller subjects.
This is called "Dragonfly and Bullrushes" (no bullrushes in view) and was an exhibit in "Art In The Garden" at Sir Harold Hillier Gardens, Romsey, Hampshire last year, the 13th of such exhibitions. It featured a range of over 30 local, British and International artists working in many materials from wood, glass, recycled materials, cold cast bronze, stainless steel to ceramics and marble resin. The great range of sculpture on display created a dynamic exhibition with over 100 works of art on show.
I was mesmerized, and needless to say tempted to buy. I'll show you some more of the work later.
2 versions for you. The skies are as taken, although they look completely different from opposite angles.

Pamela.

What a brilliant piece of work that is, Pamela. Prefer the angle and pov in v1, although the oily patina under the wings in v2 is better...a shared vote and looking forward to seeing more from this location.

Yip, it stood still long enough for a couple of super detailed shots, Pamela: think even I might have managed a half decent shot of this oneWinkWink.
Interesting narrative too that adds so much to one's appreciation of tue work.
