As I said before, I'm staying with statues and sculptures, but moving on to smaller subjects.

This is a closeup showing more detail of the same sculpture that I uploaded last time, called "Dragonfly and Bullrushes" exhibited in "Art In The Garden" at Sir Harold Hillier Gardens, Romsey, Hampshire last year, the 13th of such exhibitions.
It is set against one of the large leaves that form the base of the sculpture.

Thankyou for your continued interest in my series.

Pamela.

This is very much to my liking! Getting to the heart of the work without distractions from sky or background. Just lines, surfaces, textures, the tension of angles.
This is the one that makes me want to see the work and photograph it myself.

Getting on fifty years back as an apprentice welder, courting with Joan, i used to knock up bits of things like this ,obviously my welding was/is better than thisSmile all stopped when we got married,we seem to have outlasted them as i dont know where owt is now.You can get some incredible colours in the chrome/stainless steels when welding or machining them.
