don't deny me my place in time

By Paree
this image was inspired by these words from the song that was on my car radio, yesterday

something inside so strong by Labi Siffre

The more you refuse to hear my voice
The louder I will sing
You hide behind walls of Jericho
Your lies will come tumbling
Deny my place in time
You squander wealth that's mine
My light will shine so brightly
It will blind you
Cos there's......

this had to be a "paree", like it; the image has a strange metallic feel about it; as if quicksilver that for a short moment took on a recognizable configuration.

Have you got AV software on your computer? If not try downloading SPYBOT SEARCH AND DESTROY, Then run it I find it very effective.

good morning wilf,
thank you for the advice,
the trouble is our computer is now super protected as we have had a couple of serious and expensive viruses,
and it is old and completely overloaded,
I look into the near future and see a wonderful new flat screen one

This makes me feel sad for some reason. Just an ethereal fleeting moment.

Hi Maureen,
This image is like Tolkien, meets Dali meets Paree and wham what a brilliant mix they make, the way you have the like bonfire of bodies that look surreal yet ethereal with the background of the sad people around and the two shadowy people within is magic. It almost is like the witchhunts of earlier centuries, because people are different in religion, colour or even look when we get to the future i'm talking about, doesn't mean they have to be persecuted for it. The link is tops thanks Dave for sorting it and the music is a great one for that image. Sad and Class. Outstanding work.take care,AnnSmile

So powerfully poignant. I love how you give words to images and vice versa too, Maureen. And thanks, Dave, for the link. Ooh, and thanks, Maureen, for the URL in the first place!

Andrew

PS Love what Ann (thorn) wrote up there.

thank you every one that has commented,
it would be wonderful if life was fair wouldn't it?

but of cause we all know its not,
so we have to make our way through,
the best we can,
in our own way in our own time,,
and hope we have done o.k.
at the end of the day
