It is winter, somewhere in the United Kingdom, and an eight year-old boy is removed from his home in the middle of the night. He soon learns that he is the victim of an extraordinary experiment.

In an attempt to reform society, the government has divided the population into four groups, each group representing a different personality type. The land, too, has been divided into quarters. Borders have been established, reinforced by concrete walls, armed guards and rolls of razor wire

Well...I was going to say something along the lines of a "magical, mystery tour"...but it has already been said....I love, that you told about your inspiration....and look forward to looking at the link...many thanx...
This is just so haunting and I can imagine that the story, must be that way also...I so agree with KingBee...the amount of work....and it is mind boggling...I don't know where one would begin...
So happy you have it mastered and continue to marvel and amaze us all with your talent.....

What a creative imagination you have, love the staircase, I might know where it leads if I read the book, which sounds fascinating, and what a good idea to listen to it on tape.
