No need to wait for Halloween 'round these here parts Maureen. It's been on the go for weeks.
The fake cobwebs have got real cobwebs and the pumpkin table lights in the pub are looking
decidedly over. Apart from risking drowning while apple bobbing, what else should we be doing ?
Trick-or-treat is more or less street crime and as for anything made from pumpkins intended to go
in your mouth......Tongue
I'm sure you will have a much better time Maureen, dressed up as a witch no doubt, and the cat.
I know you've got a cat.
Have an RC from me.

hello Clive,

thanks for the RC
i am with you there

i dont like all the hype,
and i dont really like Halloween,
bad spirits are definitely not my thing,
plus i have a thing about why we should always follow whats happening in America. uggh

when i was a child living in the country we would get a sugar beet from the field and hollow it out making a lantern
they were so hard it would take us a couple of days to hollow out
(we all had a little pen knife.
it was then kept for bonfire night,
cost; nothing
fun loads

its all to do with a limerick i wrote a few years ago (published in the Daily Mail)

we've not yet had the 5th of November,
or Halloween night to remember
but look in the stores
and you'll see Santa Claws
does Christmas now start in September.
