I've been sitting here studying this for a few minutes, basically trying to figure out what it is that really appeals to me about this. Most similar images are of the baby laying tummy down upon a parent's arm. This is a different take which I like much more.

I couldn't decide immediately if the texture distracted or not, but the more I look at it, the more it gives me a sense of paintings about creationism - this is just my take of course, and maybe others will or will not understand what I'm saying here.

It's a gentle, peaceful, loving image.
