Osteo Quartet

By pamelajean
Firstly, I have to thank Lillian for her User Award on my "Love In Idleness".

A little more subtle than my last two bright offerings, here are some pink osteospermums, also known as African Daisies, South African Daisies, Cape Daisies and Blue-Eyed Daisies.
They obviousy belong in the daisy family, and the name is derived from the Greek “osteon” (bone), and the Latin “spermum” (seed).
Thankyou for your continued support for this flower series.

I want to say a public thankyou to Jasmine (xwang) for recognizing the problem I have been encountering with "banding" on my gradient backgrounds. She kindly found someone who provided me with a simple solution and I am very grateful. Thanks, Jasmine.

PS: I should have mentioned that I only had this helpful information a few days ago and therefore still have some flower pictures that show the banding, and this is one of them.

The flowers are well arranged and beautifully detailed Pamela.
Saw your footnote re banding. Whatever you did has not worked here - very strong banding running diagonally from the top LH corner Very noticeable in normal and large.

A lovely image, well composed and your chosen background just right picking up the tones of the flowers. I have ditched many efforts because of the banding, just thought it was me. Although your image shows slight banding it certainly does not distract from those beautiful osteos.

So clear and beautifully raised from the b/g. I never noticed the banding until you mentioned it and it certainly doesn't detract.

I've noticed a slight banding like this on some of mine - usually where there's a plain blue sky. the only method I've found is to go over it with the Healing Brush tool, but it can finish up looking just as bad or worse!
Anyway, this looks good to me, Pamela, banding of no banding, the subject is very beautiful, like it Wink
