17 Apr 2012 4:31PM Views : 484 Unique : 351I'm just back from the Greek island of Rhodes and once again witnessed the first flush of summer tourists. Funny when you live in a tourist location you soon get to recognize the nationality of holidaymakers before they open their mouths.
Of course I love a bit of a natter with the Brits and Irish so I have an eye open.
It's easier to judge the nationality of the men, as women tend to mix and match styles. I see Germans, ankle socks with leather sandals, Dutch, same but much taller and often with the man-handbag, French, understated elegance, Italian, fashion to the hilt and gold, English, sunburned and naked to the waist...
Why do the English do that, it's embarrassing, can't they see that nobody else leaves the beach/pool area half naked? They are talked about in a very derogatory way behind their backs, and they offend the old local people.
Perhaps they just don't realize it.
