What with credit crunch and no cheer
We're having our Christmas party
Although no one can afford to be here
We can't stuff the Christmas turkey
We can't eat a single mince pie
We're down to our last drop of whisky
So that's a good reason to cry
But we won't be beaten by inflation
V.A.T. or the Dow Jones
They can stick their "Wall Street Journal"
We'd rather be "Home Alone"
