  • Fifty Years On

Thanks for the input/comment guys, good to hear from you all. Guess I had gone by the time your brother arrived, Geoff, W/C Ross was CO at my time, after we transferred from 59 Sqdn in 1961. A single malt with pleasure - wish we could get it at RAF Mess prices in Germany - no tax there!!

Nice configuration - gear and flaps down, canopy back and engine burbling and all in the evening light - well presented.

Yep, 'shiny two' still going on - looked down on, of course, by my old mob of 3 Sqdn as 2 Sqdn only flew balloons in 1912 and 3 had real aeroplanes!! Thanks for the input....Pat

First time for me too - quite majestic and the 'smokey joe' image is really true to life. The black trail could be seen way out on the approach before any airframe detail was apparent. Unfortunately it only did a single fly-by. Good to hear from you...............Pat

  • Such a host of fine strong dramatic images - full of atmosphere, beautifully rendered.
  • Thanks for visiting my porfolio Valerie, much appreciated. Apologies for lateness in reply - still trying to catch up after vacation in Canada. Thought your Eventide image was first class and your comment re the weather reminded of our time in Ballykelly - three years in the mid 60's, much enjoyed.
  • Super series of military portraits - very sympathetically presented, first class.
  • Fine portfolio - striking colours and well presented.
