GIANT SWALLOWTAIL IN THE BUTTERFLY GARDEN TODAY . . .

This Giant Swallowtail decided to pay us an unexpected visit today. I am not home during the day this summer when all the butterflies are about but we still maintain the butterfly garden. On weekends though I love to place my adirondak chair opposite the garden and relax with camera in hand. Luckily for me these gorgeous flying flowers don't care what day it is. You feed them and they will come. It also helps to have host plants they can lay their eggs on.

Hope everyone is having an awesome summer as we are. Doing garden work is a pleasure I look forward to and having the opportunity to observe these beauties just makes it all worthwhile.
