Lol, yeah thanks Helen. I waited ages for him to wander into the frame. he kept stopping, wandering the other way, sitting down. Eventually someone threw him some bread. Never thanked them Smile. Actually had to wait ages for the giraffe in V2 to position himself too. Paul

Like your comp and the details in this work well the single bird on the ice makes this for me.

I like your format and composition, the diagonal water's edge in the foreground, the cold atmosphere and, of course, the obliging duck, although you had to forfeit your sandwich for the shot, lol.
