Good use of sepia tone.

Lovely picture. Everytime I try to use sepia it doesn't suit. Now filed under 'must try harder'! Could I ask why you blurred parts of the edges (as 'old' pictures would be clean cut to the border)? Like the slightly 'tatty' edges though... nice detail I must try and remember.

Thanks guys. Angela, I used a plugin called "Virtual Photographer" to apply the sepia. I answer to your question about the border, I've seen old photos like this where someone has stuck the original to a piece of card to preserve the photo. It just felt right I suppose. Paul

Now this is how to carry off the old look. Superb.

For a minute I thought this was at Mucross House in County Kerry - they have a selection of old farmhouses on a delightful walk.
I have some similar shots Wink
A bit of diffuse glow might have added to the pin-hole camera aged look... but the aged card mount is spot on!

Thanks for all the comments guys. Matt: I knida thought it needed just a little something else, the diffuse might just do it. Cheers. PAul

great shot. like a stillife with a chicken running through it. The "old" look needs some of these cracks/wrinkles. (by the way, thanks for consistantly keeping my self esteem alive with your comments lol)

Nice one I'd say that bike has done many miles. Thanks for your comments on the restoration. It never occured to me to use " colour" I'll have ago. I could not find the two you mention but the "Before & After" are interesting & very good.
