Bit tight on the top of the head but everything else is more to my tastes at least - lighting, pose, relaxed good looking model.

Simply stunning lighting. Needs a bit of headroom but the colour and tones are superb.

Great photo, excellent technique as always but don't you think becoming a little pass. Especially when we see the same models in the same sort of poses.

I expect to be castigated but I like nude photography, I'm no good at it but I'm looking for something more exciting.

hi eric thank you for your views there are two of us taking photos of the same model so that maybe confusing. I am trying to tell a story about Donna and about our progress through the sessions. Each session we start of portraits and progress through to figure work. Though Donna does have a good figure and is quite happy for us to photograph her we want to get a more variety of pictures cus it can get boring looking at nude pictures all the time.
Each session also has a different theme and we are trying different technics as well - Vinny and I also have new cameras so we are experimenting with that as well.
We are all encouraged by the comments we are getting and we are looking forward to our third session in a professional studio in 3 weeks time we are hoping to do body parts and silhouettes.

Kind regards

I agree regarding the crop at the top of the head - just a bit too tight imo, nevertheless this is a cracking image. Donna looks super sexy and the lighting is excellent.

The contrast with the skin and the underwear looks reallyt good. Nice sharp shot but feel it would have been better with the whole hand and head in... though i'm far from an expert. Nice work as usual Ian.

Another good shot of donna. I think the tight crop on the head balances the cropped legs so I gotta disagree with the people who don't like it.

Your new camera seems to be working well for you Ian and I have enjoyed watching the progress of your project so far.
This is for me another excellent shot in this series.
The lighting is superb and the detail is up there too.
I don't have a problem with the crop either as I see pro photo's that often crop tight over the head exactly like this.
Great stuff.

Fantastic quality shot, Ian. I'd like to see the top of the head in this particular case, and possibly the tips of the fingers too. Just guessing about, you probably tried that and decided this had more impact.
Anyway it's a corker. You just get better and better.

Thank you all for your very kind comments - sorry its taken me a long time to get back to you all but going through a busy patch at work.

Lighting was 2 lights one to our right was a soft box on 5.6, the other was a hair light on 2.8.

regards ian
