Rest thy feet...

By PaulG
Taken at Horwood House in Bucks. This bench was in a secluded part of the grounds.

I thought the bushes framed it well and this was taken in colour then Channel Mixed into Mono.

Taken at 1/200sec, F5.6 at 46mm.

Just felt this was an image that suited mono rather than colour, so here it is. Comments welcome.

Hi Paul, like the tones of this but can't help thinking that (for me!) a severe crop on both edges reducing the "private border??" to about a quarter of its' current size would vastly improve this. Still like it though!
well done

I wanted to keep the path way in shot to so croping the greenery to the sides would make this a little to square. I take you point though and it's good that you've mentioned it Smile

Thanks guys for your comments.

Have to say looking at both versions, the b&w works better, just had a little play with it, hope you dont mind.

Play away, the more the merrier Smile

Thanks for taking the time. I think it looks slightly more secluded in your version Chris, so thanks.
