Formation flying

Formation flying by Jerrin

Terrific capture! Getting just one flying bird in focus is not so easy but getting 3 lined up front to back and having enough depth of field is close to miraculous! Well done.

That's great photography, whether you just caught him leaning right or whether you set him up. Either way, very successful image.

Yes, "minimal" is good word for it, and it is a very beautiful image as well!

Very effective exposure. Beautiful result!

Varied textures combine to attract and hold interest so well and the light is icing on the cake. The bent nail especially held my mind!

Very well conceived and realised. That appeals to me very much.

Yes, v.1 is my favourite because it is a very different point of view but all 3 beautifully captured.

Yes indeed, "fantastic" "stunning" are the right words for the image.

You have done very well indeed with the processing to achieve such a great combination of light. Beautiful image resulted.

All 3 versions look equally weird! Very good fun!

Grey heron (Ardea cinerea)

Grey heron (Ardea cinerea) by fotobee

Magnificent shot. Beautiful bird and in flight capture perfect, and the heron contrasts so well with the vegetation, not always easy to achieve. Love it!

Lone Ranger

Lone Ranger by nishant101

Very effective result. Great foreground, great effect with the light and the hooded human adds extra dimension to the image. Great work.

Beautiful collection here Alan! Wow!
Thanks for your comments on my latest upload, "Broken." The softness you mention on the trunk and branches, may result from the conversion for the web and subsequent quality reduction by ephotozine, as the uploaded file was probably a bit bigger than it should have been. The original prints ok at 48.5. cm.

Thanks barbara for your regular kind comments. You have some awesome photos in your gallery. Best wishes, Paul Knight

Hello Wefi, Thank you for your comment on my wind turbine photo. I actually took the photo with the deliberate intention of trying to exaggerate the hints that the scene was giving me, especially the constantly shifting spots of light on some turbines but not others. I was trying to make it "unreal" rather than real. I don't think the original photo would attract any interest. But you never know!

Beautiful collection of work you have! Congratulations!

Hello DRicherby,
thank you for your comments on some of my photos a few days ago. I have as you suggested cloned out the ground in the photo of the 4 Nikau palms and uploaded it it a few minutes ago.
Thank you again.
