Nicely set up. Well done!

Very powerful effect Moira. Verdun had a significant effect on my life too.

Beautifully taken. It speaks for itself.

The exhibitionist

That's brilliant Moira! Sorry you didn't make it into the "Adult" category, but I think it is far cleverer and more adult than "Adult." Keep trying!

Close-Up.... by ELLISON58

Very effective image. The fact that the petals are slightly beyond the depth of field and blurred seems to add to the impact of the centre. Well done!

Stunning! I love that light and composition! Beautiful image!

The Drawing Room

The Drawing Room by cats_123

Stunning and expert interior shot. The soft golden light is perfect for the task. Beautiful result.

GLUM by youmightlikethis

Great example of street photography and the title is perfect. V1 for me too.

Red 'n' Yellow

Red 'n' Yellow by NDODS

That is REAL dedication to duty. Not a swimmer in sight, and it doesn't look at all inviting. The photo says it all. A great image!

Blowing bubbles

Good idea very successfully captured!

Limbo by Alan_Baseley

That IS tricky. I do hope he came out on this side!

Boats in the harbour

Boats in the harbour by Madoldie

Very effective image, nicely cropped, great foreground contrasting strongly with the more distant scene.

Flamenco by nonur

Love it! I know the scene from the inside. I've been accompanying Flamenco dance for over 40 years myself.

Beautiful collection here Alan! Wow!
Thanks for your comments on my latest upload, "Broken." The softness you mention on the trunk and branches, may result from the conversion for the web and subsequent quality reduction by ephotozine, as the uploaded file was probably a bit bigger than it should have been. The original prints ok at 48.5. cm.

Thanks barbara for your regular kind comments. You have some awesome photos in your gallery. Best wishes, Paul Knight

Hello Wefi, Thank you for your comment on my wind turbine photo. I actually took the photo with the deliberate intention of trying to exaggerate the hints that the scene was giving me, especially the constantly shifting spots of light on some turbines but not others. I was trying to make it "unreal" rather than real. I don't think the original photo would attract any interest. But you never know!

Beautiful collection of work you have! Congratulations!

Hello DRicherby,
thank you for your comments on some of my photos a few days ago. I have as you suggested cloned out the ground in the photo of the 4 Nikau palms and uploaded it it a few minutes ago.
Thank you again.
